Three girls and six boys have qualified for the Class 2A track meet at Western Heights in
Oklahoma City this Friday and
Saturday.
The nine track athletes qualified at the Class 2A Regional at Cherokee last Saturday.
Coach Mike Kirtley’s boys finished fifth with 57 points. Coach Kurt Kirtley’s girls were sixth with 49 points.
Qualifiers for state follow:
-- Kristin Martin in the girls high jump and 100 meter hurdles.
-- Mikayla Myer in the 300 meter hurdles.
-- Gloria Reyes, pole vault.
-- David Hernandez in the 1600 and 3200 meter runs and the 4x800 relay.
-- Clay Massey in the pole vault and the 4x800 relay
-- Peyton Day in the 4x800 and 4x400 relay.
-- Joby Jauregui in the 4x800 and 4x400 relay.
-- Simeon Shepherd in the 4x400 relay.
-- Braydon Hampton in the 4x400 relay.
Alternates include Nathan Anderson, Brannon Marler, Carson Robinson and Jayden Myer for the boys relays.

While the boys 4x400 and 4x400 relays were fourth at the Cherokee regional, their times were better than some of the third place finishers in other regionals so they qualify to run at the state meet.
