The Northern Oklahoma College Mavs Softball team swept Eastern Sunday afternoon 6-0 and 8-5.
NOC (23-11) improved to 5-5 in Region 2 action.

Rachel Rumsey hit a three run home run in the 3rd inning and Taylor Lane pitched a two-hit shut out as NOC beat Eastern 6-0 Sunday afternoon.
NOC scored five runs in the 3rd inning and cruised to the win. Baylee Scrimshire and Aylin Nunez both reached, then Kyia Monahwee singled scoring Scrimshire. Rumsey’s blast to right center gave the Mavs a 4-0 lead. Madison Kettler then singled and later scored on an error and NOC led 5-0.
Lane (11-7) was dominant in the circle allowing just two hits though she did walk five.
Mavs 8, Eastern 5
In Game 2, the Mavs broke open a 3-3 tie with four runs in the 3rd and went on to beat Eastern 8-5.
Scrimshire, Monahwee, Rumsey, and Katelyn Yee each had three hits in 16 hit Maverick attack.
Rumsey had three runs batted in while Monahwee added two for the Mavs.
Jenna Chassie (12-4) went the distance allowing no earned runs and six hits, striking out six and walking one.
