Elevation below average, water murky. Crappie fair on hair jigs, jigs and worms around shorelines, weed beds and crappie dock. Saugeye and striped hybrid bass slow in creek channels and main lake. Channel catfish slow on chicken liver, dough bait, hot dogs, minnows, PowerBait and worms around creek channels, rocks and shorelines. Kaw: April 2. Elevation normal, water low 50s and clear. White bass, striped bass hybrids and walleye good on crankbaits, in-line spinner-baits, jigs, minnows, sassy shad and small lures below the dam, along creek channels and shallows. Fishing below the dam for white bass, hybrids, and walleye has been exceptional lately. The same species are being caught in the creeks especially at the Vickery Ranch area. Paddle-fish snagging slow below the dam. Paddlefish have slowed way down with most of the migrating fish turning and going up the Salt Fork River before making it to Kaw tail-waters. Crappie being caught on minnows and jigs around brush structure, in coves, creek channels, rocks and standing timber. Crappie bite is turning on in the creeks in 6-10 ft. on standing timber. Best area to try are Big Beaver, Little Beaver and Bear creeks. Crappie in the main lake have slowed as they are in a transition period from winter pattern and spawning. Skiatook: March 30. Elevation below average, water in the 50s and dirty. White bass fair on in-line spinnerbaits, jigs and sassy shad around creek channels.
