Northern Oklahoma College received three award plaques and one honorable mention, including one first place plaque, from the Oklahoma Collegiate Public Relations Association’s annual awards contest and conference, held recently at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
NOC Director of Printing Services Jamie Haney placed first for a culture/fine arts poster “‘Til death, we do ART”; second for a special publication “Gala XXIV Program” and honorable mention for a direct mail piece “It’s Not Too Late.”
NOC photographer John Pickard won third place honor for digitally enhanced photography “Maverick Women’s Soccer.”

The OCPRA awards competition recognizes the best in professional communicators from educational institutions, both public and private, throughout the state of Oklahoma.
This annual competition is designed to reward achievement, recognize excellence and encourage a healthy competitive spirit by those who represent higher education to the public. Materials are submitted by individuals who work in public relations, sports information, video, development, digital media and printing at any of the state’s higher education institutions.

In 2019, NOC celebrated the 20-year anniversary of the Enid campus and a 15-year partnership with OSU for the Gateway Program.
NOC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and offers associate degrees in three general areas: Arts, Science and Applied Science. The associate degree fulfills lower-division course work which is applicable towards a bachelor’s degree.
