The American Legion Post 71 invites the public to a Memorial Service at the IOOF Cemetery, Tonkawa, at 10 a.m. Monday, May 31, to honor the fallen veterans.

The Tonkawa First United Methodist Church is geared up and ready to go. Finally - it’s time to hold the 36th Annual Thrift Sale!!! Please join on Friday, June 4th from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, June 5th from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for this event. The church has been accumulating treasures for 2 years now, and the walls are bursting at the seams. Don’t forget the Bake Sale on Friday morning, and plan on eating ALL your meals with them. The kitchen is open, and the cooks are preparing special items for your dining pleasure!
Mike Kirtley football camp June 1-4
The annual Mike Kirtley Football camp will be June 1-4 from 1-2:30 p.m. at Buc Stadium.
Football fundamentals include blocking and tackling, passing and catching, ball security, takeaways, punting, kicking and more will be taught. These will be light contact drills and flag football games. Participants should bring their own shoulder pads and helmet.

Volunteers for Memorial Day flags
Dawn Huff is seeking volunteers needed to place flags on the veterans graves at the Tonkawa IOOF cemetery. The flags will be put out at 5 p.m. Friday , May 28 and picked up on Monday, May 31, at 5 p.m. Volunteers are needed for both days and times.

Cheerleader car wash will be June 5th
Tonkawa HS/MH Cheerleaders will be having their rescheduled car wash on Saturday June 5, 2021 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m,. Weather permitting. Carwash is by donation only. Please come out and support your cheerleaders!!

Every Monday at 1 p.m. the Tonkawa storm sirens will be tested.
