Joey Reinart will be Tonkawa Public School’s new high school principal next year, replacing Stony Fath who resigned to return to classroom teaching.Reinart has served as assistant principal and athletic director the past year.TPS will begin advertising for a new assistant principal and athletic director.It was among action taken at Monday night’s meeting of the school board.Reinart of Carrier, Oklahoma is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and obtained his Master’s in Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Texas. Reinart comes to TPS with 16 years of experience in education. His career began at Perry and took him to John Marshall High School, and then to Chisholm High School where he served as assistant principal and athletic director for 8 years. In addition to his administrative duties, he has coached high school football, basketball, softball, and track. He led Chisolm to the state semi finals and through numerous rounds of playoffs. Joey is a Certified 3 Dimensional Coach and has memberships in Oklahoma and National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. He is the father of 12 year old Haden who is a 6th grader and Coleman, 9, who is in second grade. Like their dad, they love sports and anything outdoors including football, baseball, basketball, track, and golf.The board Monday night voted 4-0 with Casey McAninch, Brian Bowling, Jerry Hook and Melanie Bellinghausen all in favor of Supt. Simpson’s recommendation.
