A resolution honoring retiring Tonkawa School Board member Mary Allan Monday night was adopted by the Tonkawa School Board unanimously.
She was replaced on the board by Brian Bowling. The resolution follows:

Resolution of Appreciation and Recognition of Distinguished Service
Whereas, Mary Allan of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, has served dutifully and faithfully as a member of the Tonkawa Public Schools Board of Education for 10 years beginning 2011, and
Whereas, Mary Allan has provided knowledge, compassion, and guidance to Tonkawa Public Schools; and
Whereas, Mary Allan has met all requirements set forth by the Tonkawa Public Schools Board of Education and the State of Oklahoma and
Whereas, Mary Allan has shown proven dedication to upholding the high standards of Tonkawa Public Schools and its governing Board;
Be it Resolved that Tonkawa Public Schools Board of Education, on behalf of its members, employees, and the students of Tonkawa Public Schools, does hereby extend its appreciation and acknowledgment of 10 years of distinguished service to Mary Allan.
This resolution is duly adopted and recorded to the minutes of the Tonkawa Public School Board of Education, as a matter of public record, in perpetuity, on this, the 14th day of June, two thousand twenty-one.
