50 years ago, December 7, 1972Paula Humphries Is Selected DAR Good Citizen Miss Paula Humphries, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernray Humphries, 106 South Second, has been selected DAR Good Citizen.The announcement was made today by the Tonkawa chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.Each DAR chapter presents such an award to the girl selected from the high school senior class as the best citizen. The award is based on dependability, service, patriotism and leadership. Airman Swartz Now Stationed At Sheppard AFBAirman Claude K. Swartz Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude K. Swartz of 209 N. Second, has been assigned to Sheppard AFB, Tex., after completing Air Force basic training.During his six weeks at the Air Training Command’s Laekland AFB, Tex., he studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special instruction in human relations.The airman has been assigned to the Technical Training Center at Sheppard for specialized training in aircraft maintenance.Airman Swartz is a 1972 graduate of Tonkawa High school.Kreger Family Party Held In BlackwellA Kreger family party was held Tuesday evening, November 28 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Schuermann in Blackwell.
