Enloe Baumert, Ed Eberle and Jack L. Newman, Jr., of Ponca City.Pruitt said similar committees have been organized in more than 50 of the state’s 77 counties and that formation is underway in the remaining counties. Those committees will form the core groups for the Ed EdmondThose committees will form the core groups for the Ed Edmondson campaign effort statewide, the state chairman said.One of the first jobs of the county committees, Pruitt added, will be to assure as large a representation as possible from their respective counties for the Ed Edmondson announcement rally. The rally will be held in the Appliance Building of the Oklahoma City State Fairgrounds at 1 p.m. April 8.Congressman Edmondson said he is “extremely gratified” not only by the response from county campaign committees but also by the overall response to his Senate bid.“We are planning an all-out campaign in every county in Oklahoma.” Edmondson said, “and the groups announced today will provide the initial impetus for that effort.”Nora Knable Was Hostess To Unity ClubMrs. Nora Knable was hostess to the Unity Club when it met Thursday, March 30 for its regular meeting.Miss Marjorie Borland, president, opened the meeting and the Lord’s Prayer was recited in unison. Mrs. Ellis Jones gave an Easter devotional.Minutes were read and committee reports given. It was reported that a pink geranium plant was delivered to Mrs. Alma Clark, a charter member of the club.Bingo provided the afternoon entertainment with prizes being won by Mrs. Iva Thompson, Mrs. Grace Lucas and Mrs. Anna Barnhill.Two guests, Miss Grace Reynolds, Oklahoma City and Miss Mabel Borland attended the meeting.The next meeting will be in the home of Mrs. Grace Lucas, 103 N.
