Upcoming, another great week of Buc Blab! It was Homecoming week last week and we had a very busy, exciting, and fun week! We spent a whole week decorating, preparing, and working towards Friday afternoon and night. Starting off the weekend before, the sophomores put some serious valuable time into the hallways and lockers. The theme for the sophomores hall was “Clue”. They added a great touch to the school by decorating. The Freshman had a good start, they decorated their portion of the hallway as a buccaneer theme with lots of orange and black. The Juniors were a little late, but still decorated and touched up nicely. The Seniors had a late start and made their theme “Candy Land”. The halls were decorated with crime scene tape, candy canes, colorful lights, and Buccaneer colors! The sophomores won the hallway award with flying colors! Next up we had the downtown window paintings. Take a trip downtown this week and look at some of the fabulous paintings and art our high schoolers made, it won’t disappoint! The Seniors won the windows this year with a beautiful Candy Land theme. The next event for the week were the floats for the parade. The sophomores had a pretty cool float with a cage and crime investigation stuff strung all around it, the Freshman had a cool Buccaneer Spirit float, the Seniors had a gingerbread house with candy all around it, and the winning Juniors had an amazing Monopoly replica board and a word finder with Buccaneer related words on it. Everyone did an amazing job this year decorating and getting set up for this week. We are really proud of our football team this week for beating the Watonga Eagles 26 to 18. The Eagles were a built team that were evenly spread out in size and strength. They had speed and were very scrappy but weren’t a match against our Buccaneers. The Bucs are now 5 and 1 on the season with the only loss against the Perry Maroons. The next game will be this Friday against OCA at Edmond. Come support us, it’ll be another big game!
