Hey Bucs and Buccaneer fans!
Tonkawa Schools went virtual last Monday through last Thursday due to the cold and large amount of snow. Luckily, this week’s weather has felt much nicer compared to the negative temperatures we were feeling.
It was an eventful couple of weeks from record breaking lows, ice tornadoes to earthquakes. I am very ready for some spring weather and the peaceful tornado season.
Upcoming at THS Mrs. Bess has scheduled a book fair at the high school library for March 8th-12th. I want to wish good luck to the highschool Buc and Lady Buc basketball teams since they are playing tonight in round two of basketball playoffs.
This week has started out with no school for the 3rd week in a row! The state of Oklahoma was a solid sheet of ice, followed by record-breaking low temperatures and heavy snow, and now water line breaks. In case you missed it, we also had an earthquake thrown in there! Hopefully, we can return to school for a normal full week next week!
After the negative temperatures here is a positive quote from Theodore Roosevelt, “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are”. Upcoming events at THS include a book fair scheduled by Mrs. Bess for March 8-12 in the high school library. Our Bucs and Lady Bucs basketball teams and Buc wrestlers all headed to Regionals on Monday and the basketball teams will play again tonight in round 2.
Have a good week and Go Bucs!
