It’s a new week of Buc Blab, Welcome back! It was a pretty slow week for the Bucs. Starting off with vocal, we have a few people that are moving their way up to Allstate. Allstate is a competition between every school in the state who enters in on this competition and learns certain music handed out to the auditioners. Schools can range from as big as class 6A schools to as small as class B schools. Thousands of students enter in on the competition and only a certain handful are chosen to be in this Allstate Choir, it’s a big thing. Support them on their next journey to second round auditions here in the next few weeks! Tonkawa Football didn’t quite pull it off Friday night against Cashion, the Bucs lost 8 to 28. Cashion is the defending State Champions and it looks like they are holding their ground for now, the Bucs will return soon. The Bucs have claimed their 2nd place standing in districts and will continue to climb the ladder. We have a week off with football and don’t know who we will play next, stay tuned for next week. Our boys will be working extra hard this week, keep it up Bucs. Not much left of the last week, it was a pretty slow week. Hoping everyone has an amazing week, especially to the one reading this!

Incoming week 10 of Buc Blab! Time is flying in the last few months left of 2021, it has been an enjoyable and exciting year so far so we can’t complain! Your Tonkawa Buccaneers are advancing in many different categories this week. Everything from band, to football, and all the way to the ACT. Starting off with the ACT, although taken really early in the year we want to thank all the teachers and faculty that led our students to amazing scores and hard work. We have the most amazing teachers in the state, thank you to every single one of you that prepares us for the upcoming challenges in not just school, sports, or the next assignment... but in life itself. You all are amazing! Great job to every student who took the ACT also, we had some great scores! The Pride of Tonkawa keeps moving on up in their competitions, we can’t even count how many awards the band has achieved this year alone. Keep it up, band. Doing great! Your Tonkawa Football team beat the Hinton Comets 33 to 14! It was close, hard foughten, and crazy! Lot’s of pink was seen worn at the game and around school the day before, thanks for showing your support! The Bucs held up great against Hinton. The Comets line was a big one, but no match again for our fighting Bucs. Our sturdy receivers and running backs played a big part in the game with their speed. It was a great pass for the Comets but our defence forced them to shut down. Great win Bucs! Next game will be against the Cashion Tigers, it’s gonna be a big game! Come help us support our Bucs! It’ll be on our home turf starting at 7 sharp! Quick thank you from the football team, thank you to the men that give up their time every day to prepare the field, busses, and equipment for every game! Thanks guys
